“O-oh say did you see . . .?” It probably wasn’t “by the dawn’s early light” (at least I hope it wasn’t!) but more likely it was “at the twilight’s last gleaming” when you, like most Americans, gathered with family, friends, and neighbors to enjoy your local “Fourth of July” community fireworks spectacular. I know that I saw, and I believe!
I believe that our annual, nation-wide Independence Day celebrations are part of what makes this country great, along with baseball and apple pie! And as I paused for a moment to take a look at the smiling faces of loved ones and the people around me – basking in the glow of “the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air” – I was filled with such a deep sense of gratitude and pride.
I’m grateful for the country that I live in – “The land of the free and the home of the brave.” I’m grateful for the freedom, privilege, and opportunity that we enjoy. I’m grateful for the sacrifices that our brave, revolutionary ancestors made to win those freedoms, secure those privileges, and provide those opportunities. I’m grateful for all of those forefathers (and foremothers) who helped establish this great state of North Carolina that I call my home.
I’m especially grateful for all of you – my clients, colleagues, and loyal blog readers – for the privilege of serving you as your Remax realtor. I’m grateful to you for letting me help you and your family achieve your own slice of The American Dream…for allowing me the satisfaction I always get when another family moves into their new home and begins to enjoy the freedom and independence that home ownership affords them.
I’m proud to be an American, living freely and independently in this “One nation, under GOD” that promises “liberty and justice for all.” I’m proud to be a resident of “The Tar Heel State” and to embrace its’ motto Esse Quam Videri – “To be rather than to seem.” I’m proud to be a Remax realtor and to be joyfully serving the real estate wants, needs, and desires of all my customers. I’m proud that you did “Ask For Lara” and I’m grateful that you will recommend me to your family and friends so that they may “Ask For Lara” too!
